Author Guidelines

For the publication in the journal Vestnik of M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan State University the articles must meet the formal requirements mentioned below.

Journal publishes the original results of scientific researches as well as reports critical reviews on the following subject areas: pedagogic sciences, humanities and social sciences, engineering sciences, natural and agricultural sciences.  

Authors are responsible for accuracy/credibility and importance of the scientific results, and topicality of research content. Plagiarism is prohibited. Submitted articles are tested in the “Anti-plagiarism” program. The articles are published in Kazakh, Russian and English. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behaviour and is unacceptable.

Submitting the manuscript for publishing in Vestnik, the author warrants that:

- the article content is original and  contains all the references to cited authors and/or sources (materials); 

- the submitted article has not been previously published;

- the article is not submitted for consideration and publication in another journal;

- all the listed authors in the manuscript agree with article’s content;

- providing that an article is accepted, it will not be published elsewhere in the same form in English or any other language, including uploading in electronic journal without written consent  from a copyright holder.

Submitted materials for publication should contain the results of original scientific research on current problems in physics, mathematics, mechanics, computer science, biology, medicine, geology, chemistry, ecology, social and human sciences, etc., previously unpublished and not intended for publication in other journals. Accurate and concise completed research papers are accepted. “Vestnik” publishes short reports on new and important developments for the scientific community (2-3 pages). Critical overviews are accepted after the instructions of the editor-in-chief or responsible secretary of the series. Authors, providing critical overviews, firstly, contact the editor-in-chief or responsible secretary of this series. Articles that do not meet content and design requirements are not accepted to publication and are not returned to the authors.

A double peer review method is mandatory for processing all scientific manuscripts submitted to the editorial board of the journal. All submitted articles are subject to peer review by at least two independent scientists. Editorial board of the series makes the choice of reviewers and a final decision to accept the manuscript for publishing.

The text of the article should include:

- introduction, that gives brief information about the theme of the article, contains aim and objectives of research as well as its topicality and novelty;

- research methods. This section describes the research sequence and justifies the choice of methods; materials, instruments, equipment and other conditions for conducting experiments / observations;

- research results, that provide actual results of the research (text, tables, graphs, diagrams, equations, photographs, pictures);

- discussion, containing interpretation of the obtained results:

  • correspondence between the obtained results and research hypothesis;
  • limitations of the research and consolidation of its findings;
  • suggestions on practical application;
  • suggestions on further research lines / fields of research.

- conclusion, that contains the summary of the outcomes of each article section without repetition of statements.   

- list of references.

Articles are submitted to the SMandPLD of the Science department (e-mail:  in electronic format, arranged as in example (Appendix 1) and in accordance with the following requirements:

The text of the article, volume 5-10 pages (for short reports 2-3 pages) is to be presented in the Microsoft Word, font Times New Roman, single line spacing. Page setup: A4, margins 2.5 cm on all sides.

Article begins with UDC (universal decimal classification) index, uppercase, bold type, left-alignment. Through line – the title of the article, centered, uppercase, bold type, character size 12 pt, no wordwrap, new line and full stop at the end. Next line – authors’ surname and initials in bold, 12 pt, no wordwrap and a new line. Next line – occupation, academic degree, place of work (university, department, city) in brackets; author(-s)’e-mail, centered, in italics, 12 pt.

Accurate information about the author, who is going to maintain correspondence at all submission stages is needed. Full mail address should be given. Information on the author’s contacts (country and region code) is provided additionally.

Two lines omitted the word Annotation, is written centered, bold type, 10 pt. Then text  in regular type, 10 pt, width alignment, the indent of the first line of a paragraph -1cm.

Annotation should be presented in three languages (Kazakh, Russian, English), spaced through one line. The annotation should reflect the subject of the article, the objectives, methods and results of the work, the scope of the results, conclusions. Key words (5-8 words and word combinations) follow the annotation/abstract.

Two lines omitted goes the text of the article in regular type, 12 pt, width alignment, the indent of the first line of a paragraph -1cm. Bibliographical references to literary sources are obligatory. Literary sources are presented in the order of using them in the text of the paper in the form of a numbered list. References to literary sources are given in square brackets and should contain the serial number of the source from the list and a page number, example: [1, с. 15-17].

Pictures, photographs and graphic material should be grouped together and be of a sharp quality.

Two lines omitted without an indent is the word References, centered, bold type, 10 pt.  List of references is arranged in regular font, 10 pt, the indent of the first line of a paragraph -1cm, as follows:

Papers that do not meet the above-mentioned requirements are not taken onto consideration. Accompanying documents are not returned to the authors.
