Representatives of the University of Arizona met with school students in Petropavlovsk.

A meeting between representatives of the University of Arizona and school students from Petropavlovsk was held at the Palace of Schoolchildren. About 200 students attended the event. They learned about the University of Arizona, its educational programs, campus, and scientific research. Notably, the university takes part in NASA’s planetary missions and implements impressive projects in astrobiology, engineering, medicine, and biotechnology. The speakers also provided detailed information about joint double-degree programs, where students study under grants. This year, 500 such grants were awarded. The instruction is in English, and during the seventh semester, students travel to Arizona to continue their studies. The school students showed great interest in these study opportunities and actively asked questions about the academic programs, the main campus in Tucson, and the admission requirements for international programs.
