Kozybayev University among the 35 best Kazakhstani universities according to QS World University Rankings: Asia 2025

The QS rating agency has published the results of the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2025. This year it included 984 universities from 25 countries, including 35 universities in Kazakhstan.

According to QS World University Rankings: Asia 2025, 22 Kazakhstani higher education institutions have improved their positions compared to last year. Kozybayev University is one of them. To a greater extent, we have increased our indicators on academic and employer reputation, publication activity, faculty/student ratio.

Thus, in the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2025 Kozybayev University not only entered the list of 35 best universities in Kazakhstan, but also, significantly improved its positions, thanks to the joint efforts of the team, took 521-540 place. 

To compile the QS Asia University Rankings, 11 indicators are used, which objectively and fully characterise the activities of the best universities.We would like to remind you that QS rankings are recognised as one of the most influential in the world. As QS Regional Director Sergey Khristolyubov notes: "One of the main opportunities for further promotion of Kazakhstani universities in the rankings remains the involvement of teachers and staff in research through the creation of material and non-material incentives and the development of academic writing skills".

I would like to emphasise the important contribution of the staff and teaching staff in improving the rating positions of Kozybayev University, which was the result of their well-coordinated, thorough work covering all aspects of the functioning of the complex system of higher education!
