Visit of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Estonia to Kazakhstan

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to the Republic of Kazakhstan Jaap Ora visited the university. He met with the leadership of Kozybayev University and held an open lecture for students. Jaap Ora told the students about the history, culture, education of Estonia, as well as the directions of its foreign policy, where Central Asian countries occupy a significant place.

"To preserve independence and develop, it is possible only in cooperation with other independent states and international organisations. We share with Kazakhstan the principle of the rule of international law and are ready for further co-operation," said the Estonian Ambassador to Kazakhstan.

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Kozybayev University Yerbol Isakaev, in turn, also expressed his readiness to establish contacts with higher education institutions of the Republic of Estonia, to carry out cultural exchange, to implement joint research and academic projects: "We are very interested in cooperation with Estonian universities in the development of joint educational programmes, academic mobility and scientific activities. With your support, we hope to build a good relationship with scientists, teachers and IT centres in Estonia".
