«Kөrisu күні is a holiday of meetings, good wishes, and unity»

On March 14, 2026, the Faculty of History, Economics, and Law hosted a festive event dedicated to the traditional Kazakh holiday «Kөrisu kuni», also known as «Amal merekesi». This day is rightfully referred to as the «Day of Meetings»," a time when people greet each other after a long winter, exchange warm wishes, and strengthen their friendships.

During the event, students learned about the history and significance of this ancient custom, which plays a crucial role in preparing for the celebration of Nauryz Meyrami.

The participants shared their knowledge about the traditions of hospitality, respect for elders, and mutual support, which have always held a special place in the culture of the Kazakh people.

The celebration of «Körisu Dün» at the faculty was not only educational, but also a unifying event. It helped to strengthen students' interest in national traditions, foster a sense of patriotism, and promote respect for historical heritage.
