Kozybayev University continues to play an active role in integrating global best practices into the educational process. One of today's key trends is the development of transnational education.
A forum dedicated to transnational education and quality assurance in international academic programmes in Kazakhstan was held at Maqsut Narikbayev University in Astana. The event was organised by the British Council in cooperation with the UK Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), and supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The forum brought together representatives from over 60 universities across the country, along with officials from the Ministry, international agencies, and British experts. Kozybayev University was represented by Askar Kabikenov, Head of the Centre for International Cooperation and Academic Mobility.
Participants discussed systemic changes in internationalisation policies, the creation of favourable conditions for the growth of transnational education, and strategies for enhancing its quality in Kazakhstan. One of the key highlights was the presentation of a document that may serve as a guideline for universities involved in transnational education — the Transnational Education Quality Assurance Framework.
