Time has shown that the model of our Basic Law has become the most acceptable for Kazakhstan, as it has allowed ensuring political stability, social harmony, economic development of the state, as well as ensuring effective protection of citizens' rights and freedoms.
"The Basic Law of our country, approved in a referendum in 1995, became a solid foundation of statehood, consolidated democratic principles and guaranteed the stable development of the country. The constitutional reform of 2022 initiated by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has become a significant stage in strengthening constitutional legality. She consolidated important changes in the political system and outlined the directions for the further development of the rule of law," said Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aigul Kydyrbayeva.
At the meeting, issues of prosecutorial supervision in ensuring the supremacy of the Constitution, regulatory rulings, compliance with the basic law of the country through the prism of decisions of the Constitutional Court and others were discussed. The speakers then answered questions from the audience.
"It is especially symbolic that today's event is taking place within the walls of the university – in an environment where the consciousness of young citizens, their understanding of the law, justice and responsibility to the Motherland are being formed. Discussing the values of the Constitution here means working on the future of Kazakhstan," concluded Chairman of the Board, Rector Yerbol Isakayev.
