Regional Olympiad in Local History

As part of Earth Day, for the first time, the university organized the Regional Olympiad in Local History "My dear Priishimye", dedicated to the memory of the famous local historian, teacher V.N.Yavorskaya. The intellectual competition was held among students of grades 9-11 in schools of the city and districts of North Kazakhstan region.

The event is aimed at identifying the intellectual and creative abilities of children, increasing interest in studying the geography of their native land, research work, and popularization of local history knowledge.

The Olympiad was organized according to sections: the administrative and territorial division of the region and its physical and geographical description. The students completed theoretical and practical tasks for 2 hours. In total, about 55 schoolchildren from 9 districts of North Kazakhstan region and Petropavlovsk took part in the Olympiad.
