Quiz battle : "Anti-Corruption Worldview and Academic Integrity"

Kozybayev University is at the forefront of shaping an anti-corruption mindset among the youth of North Kazakhstan. The university employs a variety of initiatives to promote ethical awareness and prevent corruption. This time, students from Petropavlovsk's colleges and Kozybayev University put their knowledge to the test in an intellectual competition.

The Quiz battle brought together six teams of active students, who not only showcased their knowledge but also demonstrated quick thinking, logical reasoning, and creativity.

The competition featured four rounds, each centered on key themes of anti-corruption and academic integrity: "Question&Answer," "Associative Series," "Pictorial puzzles " and "Anti-Corruption Music Lover." This engaging format helped deepen students' understanding of anti-corruption laws, global practices in combating corruption, and the importance of integrity in education.

"We organized this event to instill the fundamental principles of an anti-corruption culture. Corruption is a challenge for any country, and today’s participants are young people who care about these issues and are ready to engage. At Kozybayev University, we have established a compliance service to mitigate corruption risks and have completely reformed our exam admission system to eliminate conflicts of interest. Our university is also an active member of the Academic Integrity League of Kazakhstan. I believe that today’s event will serve as an important step in reinforcing the values of transparency and fairness," said Yerbol Isakayev, Chairman of the Board and Rector of Kozybayev University.

The event was also attended by representatives of the North Kazakhstan Region’s Anti-Corruption Agency, led by Acting Head Aidos Zhunisov.

In the end, the Kozybayev University team emerged victorious! Second place went to the Higher North Kazakhstan Vocational Pedagogical College, while students from SKU College secured third place.
