Acquisition, cataloging and scientific processing of literature division

Main goals and objectives

The main purpose of the activities of the acquisition division is the systematic, scientifically substantiated and operational acquisition of the library fund with documents in accordance with the information requests of the educational process and scientific research of the university.

Tasks of the acquisition division:

• Formation of the library fund of documents in accordance with the profile of the university and the information needs of readers
• Accounting for documents entering the library fund and leaving the library fund
• Scientific and technical processing of all documents entering the library
• Organization of a directory system
• Collaboration with publishers and bookselling organizations
• The study, synthesis and implementation of best practices, recommendations of methodological centers on the formation of the library fund and cataloging
