Materials of local archival funds as a source on the history of the Alash movement in the northern region of Kazakhstan

Project goal: To present a systematized, objective historical picture associated with the life and activities of the Kazakh intelligentsia, the role of the government of "Alash-Orda" in the development of domestic and world history on the example of the Northern region of Kazakhstan at the beginning of the XX century.
Expected results: The work done will make it possible to significantly complement the overall picture of the movement "Alash" and its representatives of the XX century on the example of Northern Kazakhstan. The research results will be presented in scientific articles, monographs, textbooks and teaching aids. It is planned to publish a collection of documents and a bibliographic dictionary on this subject on the basis of the materials collected in the archives of Kazakhstan and Russia.
Description of the project: There are a number of problems in Russian history that have not yet been fully studied. These include the problem of the Alash movement, although today there is a sufficient amount of research, the activities and heritage of representatives of the Alash intelligentsia of the northern region of the republic remains little known. Numerous archival materials of the northern regions of the country and local archives of the Russian Federation have not been studied.
Project objectives:
- research of each of the stages of activity of the Alash intelligentsia, analysis of the historiographic and source study base;
- study of historical and socio-economic prerequisites for the emergence of the Alash movement;
- revealing new names and facts in the history of the Alash movement in the northern region of Kazakhstan;
- identification of secret documents previously not introduced into scientific circulation concerning the activities and heritage of the Alash intelligentsia of the North Kazakhstan region in the indicated period.
