Nikiforov A.V. was born in Uzbekistan, but lives most of his life in Petropavl and works at the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social and Humanitarian Sciences of the M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University.
The multi-confessional environment in which he grew up aroused a deep interest in the traditions, customs and religious beliefs of representatives of various ethnic groups.
After graduating from the Philosophy Faculty of Al-Farabi KazSU, Alexander Vladimirovich defended his PhD thesis in Leningrad (LPI named after A. Herzen) and his doctoral dissertation in Almaty (KazNPU named after Abay) in religious studies. He has about 200 scientific publications and is one of the famous religious scholars of Kazakhstan.
One of his research interests is to identify parallels between the Bible and the Koran.
Despite the health problems that have arisen, Alexander Vladimirovich continues to engage in scientific activities and teach throughout his life.
He believes that interfaith harmony in our society is an important component of national unity.
In his opinion, the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan is the most important tool to ensure the stability of Kazakh society and a center for the free development of native languages, preservation of cultural heritage and traditions of all ethnic groups living in Kazakhstan.
Alexander Vladimirovich actively participates in the activities of the APK Department of M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University: conducts lectures, seminars, round tables in order to expand religious literacy and prevent religious extremism among students, develops methodological literature.
